Summary
A metate was collected during monitoring at CA-ORA-1006, near the corner of el Toro
Road and Moulton Parkway in Laguna Hills, California. The metate was broken into several
pieces, one of which was submitted for analysis. Pollen, phytolith, and protein residue studies
were conducted on this metate fragment in an effort to identify its use by occupants of this site.
