Author(s): Linda Scott Cummings
Year: 1998
Summary
Four sediment samples recovered from depths ranging from 170 to 377 cm below the
surface at Lelepaua Fishpond (site 50-80-13-82) were examined for pollen and foraminifera. This
site is located near the entrance to Pearl Harbor Estuary, Oahu. Pollen samples were examined
to identify vegetation surrounding the fishpond at the time of its use and confirm that these
sediments represent fishpond sediments.
