Author(s): Kathryn Puseman; Laura Ruggiero
Year: 1999
Summary
Three soil samples from Site 41WM908 in central Texas were floated to recover charcoal
and other charred macrofloral remains. This site appears to have been utilized by the prehistoric
occupants to quarry chert for the manufacture of stone tools. The macrofloral samples were
recovered from areas of charred anomalies to determine if these areas represent prehistoric
features.
