Summary
Two pollen and four macrofloral samples were examined from 48NA2779, an
archaeological site containing a house pit located south of the Powder River in Wyoming.
Radiocarbon ages from two house pits (Features 3 and 4), are reported as 5260 ± 60 RCYBP
5490 ± 60 RCYBP, indicating an Archaic occupation. Pollen and macrofloral analyses were
conducted to identify plants processed or used in these house pits.
