MACROFLORAL ANALYSIS OF SAMPLES FROM SITES IN THE FORT ROCK BASIN, OREGON
Author(s): Kathryn Puseman; Laura Ruggiero
Year: 1999
Summary
Sediment samples from three sites in the Fort Rock Basin of south-central Oregon were
floated to recover macrofloral remains. A single charcoal sample also was identified and
submitted for radiocarbon dating. The Bergen site (35LK3175) and Claim A1 site (35LK3176)
represent lowland sites, and a house ring was excavated in the Boulder Village Uplands.
Macrofloral analysis is used to provide information concerning plant resources utilized at these
sites.
