Summary
Sediment samples from two pit house features at Site 42KA4280 in southern Utah were
analyzed for pollen and macrofloral remains. One corn cob fragment also was measured.
Ceramic artifacts suggest occupation of the site during the Basketmaker III period. The two pit
houses represent two occupation episodes. Pollen and macrofloral analyses are used to provide
information concerning plant resources available to and utilized by the site occupants.
