Author(s): Linda Scott Cummings; Kathryn Puseman

Year: 1999

Summary

Samples from soil units and two features at sites 26CK948 and 26CK949 were examined

for pollen and macrofloral remains. These two sites are located in the central area of the City of

Las Vegas, Nevada, and are noted to be "physically, visually, and historically interconnected"

(Seymour 1998:1.5). Pollen and macrofloral analyses are used to provide paleoenvironmental

information, as well as to identify economically important resources that might have been used by

the prehistoric occupants of this area.
