Summary
Three pollen samples were collected along a pathway currently bounded by boxwood.
These samples were examined to identify pollen that might represent historic vegetation in the
gardens at Gunston Hall Plantation in Virginia. Samples were collected at a depth of approximately
5-6 inches below the surface in an effort to recover evidence of historic plants.
