Author(s): Curtis Nepstad-Thornberry
Year: 2000
Summary
Samples from two sites, CA-TEH-34 and CA-TEH-1332, in the Sacramento Valley were
examined for macrofloral remains. Both sites are representative of the Bend Complex, which
represents a riverine-adapted group affiliated with the Tehama Pattern. These sites are located
adjacent to Toomes Creek. CA-TEH-34 is situated along the north side of the creek; where as
CA-TEH-1332 sits along the southern side of the creek. Macrofloral analysis was used to
provide information regarding plant resources available to and utilized by the occupants of these
sites.
