Summary
A single steatite pipe, recovered from a low, earthen midden at CA-TEH-45, exhibited a
large quantity of burned residue. This residue was examined for pollen, phytoliths, starch
granules, and/or identifiable plant cells to identify plants that might have been burned or smoked
in the pipe.
