Author(s): Kathryn Puseman
Year: 2000
Summary
Two bulk soil samples from a trench in an alluvial/colluvial fan that abuts the Hurricane
Cliffs were floated to recover organic fragments suitable for radiocarbon dating. This site is part
of a paleoseismic study on the Hurricane Cliffs in northern Arizona. Botanic components and
detrital charcoal were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable material was separated.
