MACROFLORAL ANALYSIS OF FEATURES FROM 5ME12315, COLORADO
Author(s): Kathryn Puseman
Year: 2000
Summary
Sediment from two features at Site 5ME12315 in western Colorado were floated to
recover macrofloral remains. These features consist of a layer of fire-cracked sandstone rock
with very dark black sediment below. It is possible that these features are not Cultural, but rather
represent natural trees burned in place. Macrofloral analysis will be used to provide information
concerning the nature of the features. Charcoal from one of the features also is to be submitted
for radiocarbon dating.
