Summary

Nine phytolith samples were submitted for analysis from Tor al-Tareeq and Thalab al-Buhira,

Jordan as part of the Eastern Hasa Late Pleistocene Project (EHLPP). These samples

represent Early Upper Paleolithic deposits along an ancient lake at Thalab al-Buhira and Early

Epipaleolithic and Neolithic occupations at Tor al-Tareeq. Phytolith analysis was undertaken to

inform concerning local vegetation associated with a Pleistocene lake and a series of marshes.
