Summary
Three bulk soil samples from a horizon on the west flank of the Shoshone Range, Nevada,
near Battle Mountain were floated to recover organic fragments suitable for radiocarbon analysis.
Botanic components and detrital charcoal were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable
material was separated.
