Summary
Detrital charcoal samples from along the Upper Gila River in Duncan Valley, southeast
Arizona, were floated to recover organic fragments suitable for AMS radiocarbon analysis. Botanic
components and detrital charcoal were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable material was
separated.
