Summary
A single bulk sediment sample from along the Blacksmith Fork near Hyrum, Utah, was
floated to recover organic fragments suitable for radiocarbon analysis. The sample was recovered
from fluvial deposits in a soil pit on a late Holocene river terrace. Botanic components and detrital
charcoal were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable material was separated.
