EXAMINATION OF BULK SOIL FOR RADIOCARBON DATABLE MATERIAL FROM ALONG WILLOW CREEK, IDAHO
Author(s): Kathryn Puseman
Year: 2004
Summary
A single bulk soil sample from along Willow Creek near Idaho Falls, Idaho, was floated
to recover organic fragments suitable for radiocarbon analysis. This sample was recovered
from a buried A horizon in soil pit on an early Holocene/late Pleistocene river terrace. Botanic
components and detrital charcoal were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable material
was separated.
