Summary
Soil samples from features at sites 48SW15144 and 48SW15146 in Sweetwater
County, southwest Wyoming, were submitted for pollen and macrofloral analyses. These sites represent prehistoric open camps with hearth features and are located northeast of the Boar’s Tusk outside of Rock Springs. The features were discovered in the two-track maintenance road for the PacifiCorp’s Atlantic City to Rock Springs power line. Pollen and macrofloral analyses will be used to provide information concerning plant resources available to and utilized by the occupants of these two sites.
