Summary
Samples from midden deposits at prehistoric site CA-SDI-10,920, along the shoreline of
Lake Hodges in southern California, were examined for pollen and macrofloral remains. This
site contains milling features, midden deposits, and numerous surface artifacts. The milling
features yielded 64 milling elements including slicks, mortars, and cupules. Pollen and
macrofloral analyses of the midden deposits will be used to provide information concerning
plant resources available to and utilized by the prehistoric occupants of the site.
