The Ceramics of Mitchell Springs Ruin Group
Summary
This chapter attempts to correlate ceramic assemblages with tree-ring dates. Materials were recovered in excavations conducted during 1995-2004. Because excavations were focused on areas of the site which exhibited no architectural evidence of buried structures, most of this chapter describes the ceramic assemblages recovered from structures dating to the A.D. 875-1125 period. Most of the information for the later portion of this period was generated from test excavations inside the community great kiva.
