EXAMINATION OF SOIL/CHARCOAL SAMPLES FOR RADIOCARBON DATABLE MATERIAL AND AMS RADIOCARBON ANALYSIS OF SAMPLES FROM ALONG THE SOUTH FORK COWICHE CREEK, WASHINGTON
Author(s): Kathryn Puseman
Year: 2006
Summary
A total of six samples from site CC1 were floated to recover organic fragments suitable
for radiocarbon analysis. These samples were recovered from the South Fork Cowiche Creek
near Yakima in eastern Washington. Botanic components and detrital charcoal were identified,
and potentially radiocarbon datable material was separated. Charcoal from one of the samples
was submitted for AMS radiocarbon analysis.
