EXAMINATION OF BULK SOIL/DETRITAL CHARCOAL FOR RADIOCARBON DATABLE MATERIAL FROM ALONG SEVENMILE GULCH FOR THE SOUTH PARK ARCHAEOLOGICAL PROJECT, COLORADO
Author(s): Kathryn Puseman
Year: 2007
Summary
A total of three samples from along Sevenmile Gulch in South Park, Colorado, were
floated to recover organic fragments suitable for radiocarbon analysis. These samples were
recovered from gravelly and fine-grained alluvium. Botanic components, detrital charcoal, and
shell fragments were identified, and potentially radiocarbon datable material was separated.
