Summary

Site LA 79937 is located close to the Monte Sereno site, LA 79934, in Santa Fe, New

Mexico, which includes several shallow stain or thermal features, a ceramic sherd, and lithic

scatter on a ridge top. Radiocarbon ages in the 1400s obtained from features at the Monte

Sereno Site indicate a Pueblo IV occupation there. No radiocarbon date is available from LA

79937. Pollen and macrofloral analysis of a thermal feature at LA 79937 was undertaken to

recover evidence of subsistence.
