ANALYSIS OF A FIRE-CRACKED ROCK FEATURE USING POLLEN ANALYSIS, AS WELL AS FTIR, AND XRF TECHNOLOGY
Author(s): Linda Scott Cummings; R.A. Varney; Kim Kral
Year: 2007
Summary
A single fire-cracked rock feature (a ring midden) from LA 91458/FB 470 was examined
using multiple techniques to obtain information concerning whether or not any residue from
processing either plants or animals remained. Because the feature was burned, protein residue
analysis was determined not to be appropriate in assessing this feature.
