Summary
A single sample consisting of charcoal in a soil matrix from site 5DA1656 was submitted
for charcoal identification and AMS radiocarbon dating. This site is a large open camp located
on knolls and ringer ridges above Newlin Gulch at the Reuter-Hess Reservoir in central
Colorado. Charcoal samples previously dated from this site yielded ages of 1160 ± 35 BP and
1540 ± 35 BP.
