Author(s): Linda Scott Cummings; Chad Yost
Year: 2008
Summary
Samples from sites FB5042, FB5044, FB17153, and FB17155 in the Fort Bliss Military
Reservation project area were examined for pollen, phytoliths, and organic residues, the latter
using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). Pollen and phytolith analyses will be
used to provide subsistence information concerning plant resources utilized, while FTIR
analysis identifies both plants and animals that were processed or used.
