Summary
Two samples were submitted from hearths at sites 48YE252 and 24YE357 in
Yellowstone National Park. Site 48YE252 is located in the southeast arm of Yellowstone Lake,
while site 24YE357 is situated northwest of Gardiner, Montana, on the bank of the Yellowstone
River. Both samples were submitted for macrofloral analysis; the sample from 48YE252 was
also examined for organic residues using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR).
