Summary
Two fragments of wood from a house pit depression at the Oak Flat site, CA-SBA-3931,
were submitted for identification. This site is located in Branch Canyon in the Cuyama Valley of
southwest California and is believed to be associated with a Chumash occupation of the area.
Wood was identified to determine what trees were utilized for building materials in the house pit.
