Summary
The Gobernadora and Ojasen sites are located in northeast El Paso,
Texas at an elevation of 4200 feet. Pollen and macrofloral samples were
collected from a number of features at both sites to examine the subsistence
database. In addition, a pollen column was collected from stratigraphic
sediments to examine paleoenvironmental conditions. Occupation of these
sites may be assigned to the Dona Ana phase (AD 1050-1250).
