Summary

Samples from the fill of a large hearth in a large pit house (Structure 1), and from a pit

house floor (Structure 2) at site AZ B:16:105 in northern Arizona were submitted for macrofloral,

botanic, and organic residue (FTIR) analyses. Pollen analysis also was conducted on samples

from Structure 2 floor. This site represents a pit house occupation during the AD 1060s.

Pollen, macrofloral, botanic, and FTIR analyses will be used to identify economic activity at this

site.
