Author(s): Linda Scott Cummings

Year: 2009

Summary

The Blue Rim Site is a prehistoric open camp located on a finger ridge extending from the south flank of Blue Rim towards the highway. This site includes a disperse scatter of lithic debitage, a concentration of FCR, and three areas of cultural staining (Feature 2). Radiocarbon dates obtained from fire hearths indicate occupation within the Opal phase of the Archaic period (6500-4300 BP). Pollen samples were collected and examined from ten features representing four periods of occupation at this site.
