Summary

Ten pollen and eight macrofloral samples were collected from four archaeological sites in the San Mateo Basin. These sites ranged in age from Archaic and Basketmaker II to Pueblo to the Historic period. The pollen and macrofloral samples were collected from features at these sites to examine the floral portion of the subsistence base, to address feature and site function. Identification of patterns of subsistence was sought at these sites.
