Summary
During the construction monitor of the Wexpro Company Musser 31, 38, 39, and Carl Allen 37 well pad in the Vermillion Basin of northwestern Colorado, features were discovered that were identified as part of sites 5MF6875 and 5MF7411. Feature 16 yielded a radiocarbon age of 5750 ± 40 BP and has been associated with nearby site 5MF6875. The other four features dated between 860 ± 30 BP and 1690 ± 30 BP. Pollen analysis was undertaken on fill from each of these features in an effort to identify foods that might have been processed.
