Summary
Sediment samples from prehistoric sites 26CK3799, 26CK4908, and 26CK4415 were examined for pollen and macrofloral remains. A rock with residue from a roasting pit at 26CK4908 also was washed for phytoliths. Site 26CK3799 represents a temporary resource procurement and processing area, while 26CK4908 is a rockshelter and roasting pit complex. Site 26CK4415 consists of a small rockshelter that contained a large packrat nest. Pollen, phytolith, and macrofloral analyses at these sites will be used to provide information concerning subsistence activities by the site occupants.
