Summary

James E. Price to conduct a Phase I cultural resources assessment of the direct impact zone for the proposed installation of buried power and water lines at Pulltite on the Current River, Shannon County. The installation is proposed to take place in the north-central part of the Pulltite Developed Area. On October 17,2001 James E. Price, Ozark National Scenic Riverways Archeologist, and Renata Culpepper, Archeological Technician, visited the locus of the proposed undertaking. Accompanying him were Randy Ross, Cliff Coggins, and Glen Mahan. The project area was examined by James E. Price and Renata Culpepper after it was pointed out to them by Glen Mahan and its location was assessed relative to known previously-recorded cultural resource sites at Pulltite. The installation is necessary due to provide electrical power to a new restroom and shower house and to provide a water hydrant in the area of the Maintenance Building at Pulltite. The project will consist of the installation of both power and water lines on either side of a service road in the disturbed ditches.
