Author(s): Peter Kováčik

Year: 2015

Summary

The Million Dollar Beach Site A, NYSM 12576, is located near the southern end of Lake George in Warren County, New York. This multi-component site demonstrates Early and Late Archaic use, as well as Historic occupation. Dense lithic debitage indicates function as a lithic reduction workshop. Two hearths and approximately ten other features are associated with much of the site’s highest dense debitage (Marie-Lorraine Pipes, personal communication, March 26, 2015). One light-fraction sample from the hearth with the highest debitage concentration (Feature H) was submitted for macrofloral analysis.
