Author(s): Peter Kováčik
Year: 2015
Summary
Site MC-1 lies in the city of Agoura Hills, Los Angeles County, California. Two sediment samples, collected from a test unit placed approximately 50 meters from Medea Creek, were submitted for macrofloral analysis to recover and identify plants used by site occupants. Radiocarbon analysis conducted on material recovered from the test unit provided two sets of age ranges suggesting occupation between AD 1455–1645 (70–80 cmbd) and AD 1650–post 1950 (10–20 cmbd)(Breana Campbell, personal communication February 16, 2016).
