Summary

This survey was conducted at the request of 5th Army Headquarters for the purpose of assessing the utilization of government owned lands designated as reserve training areas. An effort was made during the conduct of this assessment to consolidate training requirements, proper natural resource management (AR 420~74) and environmental consideration as set forth by the National Environmental Policy Act 1969 (PL 91-190).

This survey is being conducted by reserve officers with training as professional agronomists. The information contained in this report was compiled through the cooperation of personnel at both Fort Sam Houston and Camp Bullis.

Existing documents, maps, aerial photos, ground and aerial reconnaissance were.used in compiling this report.
