This pamphlet was created by the 12th Flying Training Wing, Office of History, and commemorates the origins of Randolph Air Force Base. Following the passage of the Air Corps Act of 1926, the new Army Air Corps embarked on a 5-year expansion program that led to the construction of Randolph Field. Among other things, this landmark legislation provided for the establishment of a new Air Corps Training Center.
