Summary

Report of results of archaeological reconnaissance and monitoring of the construction of an Air Force Security Police obstacle course at Bellows Air Force Station, Waimanalo, O'ahu, Hawai'i. A surface reconnaissance of the project, area was completed and 13 backhoe trenches excavated to a basal lithified sand deposit. An archaeologist was on-call for monitoring throughout the contract period. The monitor was present for the clearing and grading of the obstacle course lane and pads and for the excavation of some of the obstacle postholes- No evidence of prehistoric or early historic cultural materials was observed during any phase of the project.
