Archaeological Monitoring Report for the Shoppette Expansion and Leach Field Excavations at Bellows Air Force Station, O'ahu, Hawai'i

Summary

Archaeological monitoring was conducted by T. S. Dye & Colleagues, Archaeologists, Inc. during excavations for the expansion of the Shoppette and leach field installation at Bellows Air Force Base, O'ahu. Construction activities were monitored by the archaeologists. No cultural deposits or in situ features were discovered. Several isolated human remains were found in the fine beach sands excavated from the leach field. The fence post excavations, the Shoppette expansion, and the leach field excavations had "no effect" on significant historic resources.
