Summary

J. Whittaker: (The Technology of the Upper Paleolithic Spearthrower: A Study Based on Archaeological, Ethnological, and Experimental Data). [A magnificent book, lots of information and illustrations of all kinds of atlatls, including famous Upper Paleolithic ones, and details of Stodiek’s reconstructions and experiments. From my point of view, too bad it’s in German, and now out of print. Someone should publish a full translation. See Street 1994 for information from his translation of the summary.
