L' Earthwork de l'Esquerda. Un experiment sobre processos de formació

Summary

L'esquerda earthwork is an experiment about erosional and depositional processes, that is placed next to the iberian and medieval site of L'Esquerda. The experimental project on the site started in 1991.

The construction of a ditch-and-bank structure allows the study of erosional, sedimentary, vegetable colonisation, and final stabilisation patterns. This is a critical information for archaeologists to test their data about ditches and other earthwork structures in prehistoric and historic times.
