Author(s): Arron T. Kotlensky; Peter Mustardo
Year: 2011
Summary
JMA completed an inventory and assessment of materials held at the New York District's Albany Field Office located at the Troy Lock and Dam facility in the City of Troy, Rensselaer County, New York. Materials were related to the construction, operation, and maintenance of Corps facilities and projects within the New York District.
No formal inventory or assessment of historic records held at the Albany Field Office had been conducted prior to this investigation. Objectives included the creation of a spreadsheet listing the collection items and if applicable, a listing of items within each group. A conservation specialist assessed the inventoried collections and drafted recommendations for storage, curation, and a potential program for deaccessioning of applicable collections. Recommendations include a list of potential local and regional facilities that could accession all or portions of the collections held by the Albany Field Office.
