Finding Aid, Paynetown Light Site (12MO193) 1987
Summary
This collection is referred to as "Paynetown Light Site (12MO193) 1987.” This name is consistent throughout the finding aid, the file folders, and the box labels. The extent of this collection is one and a half (1.5) linear inches.
The Paynetown Light Site (12MO193) 1987 document collection was contained within one acidic envelope and in an acidic box with other document collections from the Lake Monroe subject property. The different document collections were processed separately according to the original housing. Paynetown Light Site (12MO193) 1987 was in good condition, and a few documents required mending and tape removal.
Removed to photographic storage from this collection were thirteen photographs and eight color slides. Eight photographs were of features associated with the Paynetown Light Site, which were housed with the field records. There were five black and white images of the report figures printed on high-gloss photography paper of artifact illustrations as well as the rough rock,fire-cracked, and chert flakes density maps. The slides were images of the site excavations.
The collection contained two oversized items, which included a map of the Paynetown Light Site (12MO193) that was handwritten on graph paper with colored pencil. This map was mended, humidified, flattened, and then scanned on an oversized scanner. It was placed in oversized storage. Also removed to oversized storage were report figure drafts including a table of contents and tables.
An additional record series, Catalog Records, was created to house the Glenn A. Black Laboratory of Archaeology artifact catalog for this investigation. These two files were sent to the VCP electronically, printed on acid free paper, and housed with the associated documentation. Scanned asset numbers were not assigned, because the files were uploaded into the digital imaging database directly from the file sent by GBL.
