Finding Aid, Pine Grove Site (12MO183) 1987
Summary
This collection is referred to as "Pine Grove Site (12MO183) 1987.” This name is consistent throughout the finding aid, the file folders, and the box labels. The extent of this collection is one (1) linear inch. Pine Grove Site (12MO183) 1987 was contained within one acidic envelope and in an acidic box with other document collections from the Lake Monroe subject property. The different document collections were processed separately according to the original housing. The document collection was well organized and in extremely good condition. Fourteen photographs and five color slides were removed from this collection to a photography storage folder. The photographs in this collection were of different areas of the site and several figure drafts and site maps of the Pine Grove Site (12MO183) 1987 that were printed on high-gloss photography paper. The collection also contained two oversized items, which were a map of the Pine Grove Site (12MO183) 1987 that was handwritten on graph paper with pencil and colored pencil and a draft of the report tables. This map was humidified, flattened, and then scanned on an oversized scanner. These items were placed in oversized storage. An additional record series, Catalog Records, was created to house the Glenn A. Black Laboratory of Archaeology artifact catalog for this investigation. These two files were sent to the VCP electronically, printed on acid free paper, and housed with the associated documentation. Scanned asset numbers were not assigned, because the files were uploaded into the digital imaging database directly from the file sent by GBL.
