Silver King to Hayden Transmission Line Study, Socio-Cultural Baseline Report
Author(s): R.C. Fuller Associates
Year: 1976
Summary
This socio-cultural report is focused on the people who live and work in the area likely to be affected by the proposed transmission line. This area is generally those sections of eastern Pinal and western Gila counties which are primarily involved with the copper mining industry. Figure 1, the Socio-cultural study area map, shows this area. The area shown in Figure 1 includes populated areas not included in the specifically designated project study area as shown in Figure 2. This difference illustrates the fact that the socio-cultural effects of the transmission line will be felt primarily in populated areas serving the mining industry rather than primarily where the transmission line is physically located.
