Summary

As a part of the United States Air Force (USAF), Randolph Air Force Base (AFB) has many legal responsibilities related to the identification, preservation, and management of cultural resources on its lands. This Integrated Cultural Resources Management Plan (ICRMP) is intended to serve as the planning and guidance document that will assist the base in complying with Federal preservation requirements and Air Force policy directives. The Installation Commander (referred to hereafter as the Commander has direct responsibility for implementation of an installation cultural resources management program by means of an ICRMP that successfully integrates cultural resources management within the process of achieving daily mission objectives.

This is Volume II of the 2003 Randolph Integrated Cultural Resource Management Plan which includes the document's extensive appendices. This ICRMP was developed in accordance with the 2003 guidelines revision of Air Force Instruction (AFI) 32–7065, Cultural Resources Management, and is designed to serve as a management plan for fiscal years 2003–2007. Although not a decision-making document, this plan provides the Commander and those responsible for implementing the Commander’s decisions with the necessary information regarding the treatment of cultural resources within Randolph AFB.
