Summary
The International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), an international preservation organization has planned an Inter-American Symposium on Authenticity to be held 27 through 30 March 1996 in downtown San Antonio. This gathering will constitute the largest world forum for historic preservation professionals. The United States National Committee of ICOMOS has specifically requested a tour of Fort Sam Houston National Historic Landmark in conjunction with the symposium. The Texas Historical Commission and the San Antonio Conservation Society hope to co-sponsor this event with the permission and assistance of Fort Sam Houston.
