Letter from James Bruseth to John Brenneman, TRIES Project, Evaluation and Testing of Archeological Resources, Camp Bullis, Texas
Author(s): James E. Bruseth
Year: 1996
Summary
The Texas Historical Commission has been in consultation with personnel in the Fort Worth District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers concerning the TRIES Project. It is the opinion of the Texas Historical Commission that this action should be considered as an action performed under Section 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA). There isn’t an undertaking that would necessitate performing archeological research to determine if that undertaking will affect eligible archeological sites. Thus, the TRIES project constitutes compliance with Section 110 of the NHPA rather than Section 106.
